Big Brother Big Sister Programme
At St. Bricin’s College, we are committed to ensuring that every student feels welcomed, supported, and connected within our school community. Our Big Brother Big Sister Programme helps junior students settle into school life by pairing them with a senior student mentor who provides guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the year.
The programme helps students to:
- Build confidence and self-esteem.
- Develop friendships and social connections.
- Make a smooth transition to post-primary school.
- Engage positively with school life.
- Adapt to new routines and environments.
- Promote social and emotional wellbeing.
Senior students receive guidance and training to help them become positive role models and effective mentors. Throughout the year, mentors and students meet regularly and participate in a range of activities designed to build relationships, encourage teamwork, and foster a sense of belonging within the school community.
The programme is a valued part of school life at St. Bricin’s College, providing students with opportunities to connect, have fun, and develop confidence in a supportive environment. Participants receive certificates in recognition of their commitment and involvement in the programme.
Through the Big Brother Big Sister Programme, students develop positive relationships, strengthen their wellbeing, and feel supported throughout their journey at St. Bricin’s College.
