Day 2 od Summer Programme 2026- Pics
Summer Programme – Day 2 Adventure!
For our second day of the summer programme, we enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Belturbet Railway Museum.
A big thank you to local man Sam O’Keeffe, who gave us a wonderful guided tour of the facility. We learned so many interesting facts about the building and discovered its rich historical significance to the area.
It was a truly engaging and educational experience for everyone involved — a great way to connect with our local heritage!
Summer Programme – Library Visit!
As part of our summer programme, we had a lovely visit to our local Belturbet Library.
A huge thank you to Celine Maguire, who gave us a fantastic tour and made us feel so welcome. The group really enjoyed exploring the library, learning about all the resources available, and discovering the joy of reading in such a warm and inviting space.
It was a wonderful experience and a great reminder of the importance of our local community facilities!
Summer Programme – Baking Fun!
We had a fantastic time in the Home Economics kitchen as part of our summer programme, baking delicious butterfly cakes with Ms Gormley.
Everyone got stuck in mixing, decorating, and of course tasting their creations! The room was full of laughter (and lovely smells!) as we learned new baking skills and enjoyed some hands-on fun.
A big thank you to Ms Gormley for guiding us through such a fun and tasty activity — a real highlight of the week!
